Welcome to another stop on the blog tour for Slave Girls: Erotic Stories of Submission, a new collection of erotic short stories edited by D.L. King and published by Cleis Press available at the following bookseller links.
I consider myself a small-timer in this business. I write daily but rarely publish or send stories to be considered by editors. Hell, this pen name was brand new when I sent prose to Ms. King for consideration. So the inclusion of my story in Slave Girls was a series of pleasant shocks.
Working with Ms. King was easier than I expected. She returned corrected copy after proofreading but made it known that these were suggestions. She asked for my input. She allowed my story to run a few hundred words over the submission limit. She let me use a terrible pun for a title. She didn't even mention my choice of muff monikers. I expected professionalism, and received it in spades, but I did not also expect so much flexibility. I can see why she is such a popular editor. Read more...
